Explore the major highlights of Cambodia during this tour such as the charming capital city of Phnom Penh, learn more about the turbulent history of Cambodia. You will bicycle through traditional wood and thatch villages that seemingly have remained unchanged for centuries, witness locals tilling their vibrant rice fields, watch barefoot children herding the family cow, laugh as chickens scatter at your approach, and of course exchange greetings as you pass the many Khmers whose bicycle is their only form of transport. You will certainly be viewed with curiosity by the friendly smiling villagers and encouraged on your way by a chorus of ‘Hello’ called out by amazed, giggling children.

Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival - City Tour (L)

Arrival at Phnom Penh , you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After lunch, a half-day tour including National Museum of Khmer Arts, Silver Pagoda on the same ground of Royal Palace, River Front Park and renowned Wat Phnom Hill. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Stung Streng (B, L)

You will travel by car from Phnom Penh directly to a nature lodge on the river north of Stung Treng, stopping in Kratie town for lunch en route. Arrive in time to get settled, explore the area a bit and watch the sunset over the Mekong River from the lodge restaurant veranda or from your private balcony. Overnight in Stung Treng.

Day 3: Stung Streng - Se San River (Cycling Distance 30km) (B, L)

You will cycle past the confluence of the Sekong and Se San Rivers, continuing into an area of riverside ethnic minority villages along the scenic Se San River. Arrive where the path ends and the forest begins, then board a boat for a ride through beautiful Se San scenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch and a swim at a sandy island with covered with shady trees. Return to Stung Treng by car lat ein the afternoon for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Stung Streng (Cycling Distance 35km) (B, L, D)

Leave Stung Treng by bicycle along a scenic river route, passing through quiet villages and watching local river life and fishing until arriving at a deep dolphin pool where you will stop for lunch in the village and watch the rare Mekong River Dolphins. After lunch, transfer by car to a primary forest eco-tourism site where you can stay in a village home stay (basic facilities) and explore the old growth forest trails and scenic creeks and rapids winding through the jungle.

Day 5: Kratie (Cycling Distance 35km) (B, L)

Travel by car to the 100 Pillars Pagoda where you will explore the renowned pilgrimage site before crossing to an island by boat at a scenic area of the Mekong River. After lunch on the island, begin cycling along the river route, stopping to visit Sambok Mountain before arriving in Kratie, a French colonial town, just in time for sunset over the river. Overnight in Kratie.

Day 6: Kratie - Silk Island - Phnom Penh (Cycling Distance 20km) (B, L, D)

Travel by car to the Mekong River south of Kompong Cham and board a ferry boat to cross to the Silk Islands. Enjoy a picnic and swim at a sandy beach on the tip of the northern-most island and make numerous excursions on the islands including visits to an island pagoda, local silk weaving communities, farms, villages and schools as we cycle across two islands. From the quiet east bank of the Mekong, you will board a two-deck cruise boat for a comfortable journey to Phnom Penh, enjoying great views of river life, fishing practices, a floating village, the four rivers region and the city. Watch the sunset over the river while enjoying a BBQ dinner and drinks on board before arriving at Phnom Penh.

Day 7: Killing Fields (Cycling Distance 15km) (B, L)

Today you will cycle to Killing Fields, which is situated in southwest of Phnom Penh and made famous by the film of the same name “Killing Field”. it was a place where more than 17,000 civilians were killed and buried in mass graves; many of them transported here after detention and torture in Toul Sleng. This place is a chilling reminder of the brutalities of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime. In the center of the area is a 17 story glass stupa which houses 8000 skulls exhumed from mass graves. Return to Phnom  Penh by car. Rest of the day is free to explore the city such as Municipality Hall, National Library, National Bank, Independence Monument or free for shopping at New Central Market. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 8: Phnom Penh Departure (B)

Free at leisure until transferring to airport for your onward flight home. End of services.
