Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Vientiane around 8:00am to depart for Nam Ngum Lake. Head out of Vientiane on Road No.10, making a stop at Ban Keun village, known for its traditional method of salt extraction. Later, visit Ban Pak Khanhung and observe locals distilling pungent vats of sticky rice wine.
Arrive at Nam Ngum Lake and set sail around its tranquil waters. Enjoy panoramic views of this vast artificial lake and its small islands, formed after the Ngum River was dammed. Take a swim before heading back to land for an authentic Lao lunch.
After lunch, make your way back to Vientiane along Highway No.13 and stop by the archaeological treasure chest of Vang Xang, where ancient stone-carved Buddhas are still being unearthed. Then, stop at a local market frequented by members of the H’mong ethnic minority group before arriving in Vientiane late in the afternoon. End of services.
