Journey from the hustle and bustle of Yangon to the chilled out paradise of Ngwesuang on this relaxing four-day trip. Alternate between stretching out on the beach, taking a refreshing dip in the ocean, reading a book in the shade of a beach umbrella or having a snooze in the sun. Those in need of a little more activity can explore the long stretch of unspoilt beach, hire bikes to ride to nearby villages or charter boats for a day on the tranquil seas. As the sun begins to set, seek out a beachfront restaurant for fresh-cooked fish and an ice-cold drink and get into the true spirit of beach life.

Day 1: Yangon - Ngwesaung

Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Yangon and drive for approximately five hours to the port city of Pathein, which is famous for its colorful hand-painted umbrellas. Observe how the parasols are made on a visit to a local factory, before continuing on to Ngwesaung. The beach town of Ngwesaung (pronounced ‘neway-song’) is on Myanmar’s tropical southwest coast. Its white, sandy beach is 15 kilometers long and bordered by tall palms. You will be staying in a hotel with a lush resort-like setting.

Day 2: Ngwesaung (B)

For the next couple of days, relax and explore Ngwesaung and the surrounding area. Unwind on the beach and swim in the tropical sea. Visit small fishing villages and local markets, explore the countryside by bicycle or enjoy optional boat trips to the beautiful islands offshore (cost not included). Please note that during the rainy season (May to September), certain facilities may be closed and some activities may not be available due to inclement weather. .

Day 3: Ngwesaung (B)

Today is a free day to do as you wish. Soak up the sun on the beach, wander around town or walk out to Lover’s Island at low tide. A trip to the nearby Ngwesaung Dam offers great bird-spotting opportunities.

Day 4: Ngwesaung - Yangon (B)

Depart after breakfast for Yangon by private vehicle. Today is a full day of driving (approximately seven hours). You should arrive into Yangon at about 6:00pm, where your trip comes to end at your hotel.
