Those in need of a little more activity can explore the long stretch of unspoilt beach, hire bikes to ride to nearby villages or charter boats for a day on the tranquil seas. Day 1: Yangon - Ngwesaung

Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Yangon and drive for approximately five hours to the port city of Pathein, which is famous for its colorful hand-painted umbrellas. Observe how the parasols are made on a visit to a local factory, before continuing on to Ngwesaung. The beach town of Ngwesaung (pronounced ‘neway-song’) is on Myanmar’s tropical southwest coast. Its white, sandy beach is 15 kilometers long and bordered by tall palms. You will be staying in a hotel with a lush resort-like setting.
