This is the perfect short excursion covering the highlights of northern Vietnam. Stroll along Hanoi’s tree-lined boulevards and be enchanted by the French colonial architecture and old world vibe. Then make your scenic journey to Halong and immerse into the most natural and cultural site of Vietnam. End your short Vietnam excursion by taking on a spiritual journey to Bai Dinh Pagoda where has the biggest Buddha statue in Southeast Asia.

Day 1 : Hanoi Arrive
Arrival at Noi Bai airport, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Rest of the day is free on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
A full day city tour of Hanoi includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, the Temple of Literature and the Vietnam Ethnology Museum. After lunch, you will continue to visit Opera House, Cathedral, Ngoc Son Temple and take a cyclo for an hour to visit Old quarter streets followed by the Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Overnight Cruise (B,L,D)
Morning depart to Halong Bay, considered as the 8th wonders of the world. On arrival, sip on a refreshing welcome drink upon embarking on our junk before beginning cruise through the bay. Lunch served as cruising among hundreds of islets (Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi – Fighting Cock islet, Dog islet, Finger islet, etc.) to discover unspoilt pockets of Halong Bay and visit Sung Sot cave, one of the most imposing grottos of the Bay. Swim at Soi Sim beach or Titov beach or a short trek to the top of Titov mountain for a magnificent panorama scenery. Enjoy dinner with fresh seafood on board. Relax or chatting with partner, friends, family. Overnight on boat.

Day 4: Halong - Hanoi (B, L)
For early risers complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and cake are served. Visit Luon cave on small bamboo boat paddle by out crew staff and enjoy the quiet atmosphere enclosed by high islets and mountains. Be back to our Huong Hai Junk. Sail past rock formations such as Man’s Head islet, Tortoise islet, Butterfly cave, Lion islet, Bai Tho mountain, enjoy the tranquil scenery as the boat meanders its way through the bay on the way back to Ha Long city, etc. Check out on boat at around 10.00 am. Enjoy lunch as boat weaves through strange-shaped limestone rock formations. Arrive back at Ha Long city around noon time for disembarkation, return to Hanoi for your overnight stay.

Day 5: Hanoi - Ninh Binh (B, L)
You will leave for Ninh Binh this morning and take boat trip to visit cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, see scenery of mountain and rivers. Trang An is considered as Ha Long on the land. After lunch, you will continue to pay a visit to Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. Return to Hanoi late in the afternoon.

Day 6: Hanoi Departure (B)
After breakfast, spend your last minute shopping or being at your own activities till transferring to airport for your flight home. End of your northern Vietnam excursion.
