The Perfume Pagoda, one of more than thirty peppering these hills, occupies a spectacular grotto over 50m high. The start of the journey is an hour’s ride by row-boat up a silent, flooded valley among karst hills where fishermen and farmers work their inundated fields. From where the boat drops you, a stone-flagged path shaded by gnarled frangipani trees leads you to pagoda cave.

Our guide and driver will come to meet you at your hotel in Hanoi around 8:00am and travel to Perfume Pagoda which is around 70km far from Hanoi. After an hour drive you reach to Ben Duc where you will take the rowing boat ride along the Yen river entering deeper the Perfume Pagoda. Enjoy your relaxing time with fresh air, good views of Limestone Mountains, rice fields and other boats rowing ahead . On arrival, you will spend 20 minutes visiting to Thien Tru Pagoda (the God of Kitchen pagoda) then you can choose the cable car option or trek up to the Perfume Cave on foot. Traveling by the cable car is fast and giving you the panoramic view of the whole this place with mountains, rivers and villages; but the path up and down takes you to experience the way of the Vietnamese Pilgrim people do every year especially in Spring season. Your main highlight today is the grotto where the Perfume Pagoda in. The grotto has been recognized as one of the most beautiful ones in Vietnam with shaped stalagmites of “Auntie” and “Uncle” who will help people have a boy or son if they can’t have; and “Rice stalagtite shape” which poor people can be richer if you pray and touch it. You can opt having lunch before or after visiting the grotto. Afterward, you wil take a boat back to the main pier where our vehicle returns you to Hanoi. Tour ends at your hotel around 6:00pm.
